WHEN YOUR EYES FEEL THE WORKING DAY
Hours of screen time, meetings, reading and close work can leave your eyes feeling tired, heavy, dry or uncomfortable. You may notice irritation, fluctuating vision or increasing visual fatigue as the day goes on.
The Vision Optique Visual Reset is designed to help you understand what may be contributing to these symptoms and receive personalised care based on your individual findings.
Combining a focused clinical assessment with tailored treatment, it brings together eye comfort, practical expertise and a more considered approach to looking after your eyes.
YOUR EYES. YOUR NEEDS. YOUR RESET.
Every appointment begins with understanding how your eyes feel and how they respond to the demands of your day.
Your optometrist will assess relevant aspects of your tear film, ocular surface, eyelids and meibomian glands, selecting the most appropriate elements of care for your needs.
Your appointment may include:
- A short questionnaire before your visit about your eye comfort, screen use and daily routine.
- Ocular surface and tear film assessment to investigate factors contributing to dryness and discomfort.
- Eyelid and meibomian gland assessment to explore the role of the glands that produce the oily layer of your tears.
- Imaging where appropriate to help assess eyelid and gland health.
- A quick check of how your eyes focus and work together at your screen distance.
- One session of LM™ Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) where clinically suitable.
- Targeted eyelid care, usually meibomian gland expression, or BlephEx® instead where indicated.
- Gentle periorbital techniques and guided breathing, to ease tension around the eyes and give you time to slow down.
- Personalised recommendations to help you manage eye comfort in everyday life, including during prolonged screen use.
Not every treatment is necessary for every person. Your care is guided by your symptoms and clinical findings.
WHAT YOU TAKE HOME
- A care kit selected for your eyes, which may include a heat mask, lid wipes and drops.
- Personalised advice for your screen days.
- A clear summary of any recommended next steps.
WHAT'S INCLUDED, AND WHAT COSTS EXTRA
Included in your £450: your questionnaire and assessment, one session of LM™ LLLT where suitable, eyelid care where indicated, periorbital techniques and guided breathing, your take-home care kit, personalised recommendations, and a short check-in call two weeks later.
Only if recommended: further LM™ LLLT sessions at £250 each, and a comprehensive eye examination (our Signature Experience, £165) if yours is due. Frames and lenses are always separate.
LM™ LOW-LEVEL LIGHT THERAPY
Targeted care for suitable dry-eye and eyelid conditions
LM™ Low-Level Light Therapy uses controlled light as part of an approach to managing selected ocular-surface conditions, including meibomian gland dysfunction.
The treatment is delivered using a purpose-designed eye mask, with the protocol selected according to your clinical suitability and the manufacturer's guidance.
Some people may notice a change in comfort after an initial treatment; others may need further treatment or a different approach. Your optometrist will discuss what is appropriate for you following assessment.
LM™ LLLT treatment: £250 per session
This treatment is available to patients who have had an appropriate assessment and are considered clinically suitable.
DESIGNED AROUND MODERN WORKING LIFE
The Visual Reset is particularly relevant if you spend much of your day working at a screen, reading, concentrating at close range or moving between meetings and digital devices.
It may be worth considering if you experience:
- Tired, heavy or strained eyes by the end of the day.
- Dryness, grittiness, burning or irritation.
- Vision that fluctuates or feels less comfortable during prolonged screen use.
- Eyelid irritation, crusting or discomfort.
- Tension around the eyes, forehead or temples associated with prolonged visual concentration.
These symptoms can have different causes. Your assessment helps determine which factors may be relevant and whether the Visual Reset is appropriate for you.
YOUR 60-MINUTE APPOINTMENT
01 — UNDERSTAND
Before your visit, you complete a short questionnaire about your eyes, screen use and daily routine. We begin by going through it together, along with your relevant health history.
02 — ASSESS
Your optometrist examines the relevant aspects of your ocular surface, tear film and eyelid health, with a quick check of how your eyes focus and work together at screen distance.
03 — TREAT
Where appropriate, your appointment includes individually selected treatment, which may incorporate one session of LM™ LLLT and targeted eyelid care.
04 — RESET
Gentle periorbital techniques may be incorporated where suitable, alongside time to slow down and breathe while your treatment works.
05 — RECOMMEND
You leave with your care kit, personalised advice based on your findings and a clear understanding of any recommended next steps.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
The right approach depends on what your assessment reveals. Some people find a single Visual Reset is all they need, while others may benefit from further LLLT sessions or a different form of care.
We will discuss the options with you and recommend a plan based on your individual needs.
There is no fixed course that everyone must follow.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
The Visual Reset includes LM™ Low-Level Light Therapy, which is not suitable if you:
- are pregnant
- have epilepsy, or have ever had a seizure triggered by light
- currently have an eye infection, a red or inflamed eye, or a cold sore near the eyes (please book once it has cleared)
Please call or email us before booking if you have had eye surgery or laser treatment in the last 6 months, take medication that makes you sensitive to light, or have had cosmetic treatment around the eyes in the last month. We'll check whether the Reset is right for you, so you don't make an unnecessary trip.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does the Visual Reset cost?
The Vision Optique Visual Reset costs £450 for a 60-minute appointment, including one LLLT session where suitable and your take-home care kit. A £100 deposit reserves your appointment and is deducted from your fee.
Can I fit it into a working day?
Yes. At an hour, it fits into an extended lunch break.
Can I book LM™ LLLT on its own?
Yes. LM™ LLLT is £250 per session for patients who have had an appropriate assessment and are considered clinically suitable.
Will one treatment be enough?
This varies from person to person. Some people may notice a change after one treatment, while others may require further care. Your recommendations will be based on your symptoms and clinical findings.
Do I need an eye examination first?
The Visual Reset is designed for people whose eye examination is up to date. If you are new to Vision Optique, or your last full examination was some time ago, we will usually recommend our Signature Experience first, because it gives us the complete picture your Reset plan is built on.
Is the treatment suitable for everyone?
No. Suitability depends on your health history, symptoms and clinical findings. We will review relevant contraindications before treatment.
What if I need to cancel?
Your £100 deposit is fully refundable with at least 48 hours' notice. Later cancellations and missed appointments forfeit the deposit, as the hour is held exclusively for you.
