Maui Jim
Now the fastest growing premium polarised sunglass maker in the world, Maui Jim got its start in 1980 as a small company selling sunglasses on the beach in Lahaina, Hawaii. Maui Jim sees a need in the market for technology that could combat intense glare and harmful UV while bringing the brilliant colours of the island to life. Our fledgling company engineered the revolutionary PolarizedPlus® lens. Incorporated into seven new sunglass styles, our Classic Collection was introduced. And with that, we have steadily built a cult following.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE MILESTONES
Over the years, Maui Jim has continued to offer our fans high-performance design developments. In 2004, PolarizedPlus®2 technology revolutionised the sunglass market - patented, colour-enhancing treatments in the form of rare earth elements were added to our lenses to really pop the colours your eye takes in.
In 2006, our new 24,000 sqft state-of-the-art direct surfacing lab was built to ensure precision prescription optics. A year later, we introduced MauiReaders®. MauiPassportTM followed in 2008, offering prescription wearers wide views and outstanding acuity. That same year, our new MauiHTTM lens brought clarity to low-light conditions.
William Morris
Fifteen years ago, Robert Morris created William Morris – an independent company with a very ‘English’ brand. His aim was to offer designer glasses to every audience providing superb original designs which continually evolve.
Coupled with the love and pride that goes into creating the frames is the same level of hard work, dedication and personal service that each member of the William Morris team strive to give their customers on a daily basis.
From humble beginnings to what is today a successful global brand, William Morris employ staff, agents and distributors all over the world.
As the market has grown, so have the collections, the designs, the point of sale and everything else that goes into making a brand that is embraced so fondly by everyone.
It’s important to know that the philosophy and brand attributes of William Morris remain as strong as they were all those years ago. In a corporate saturated world it’s the ‘family’ values that set them apart and what their customers appreciate
Lindberg, including Lindberg Horn
Lindberg Air Titanium is a unique, internationally patented system for the hand – crafting of eyeglasses. The system consists of an unlimited number of different lens shapes and colours along with temples in a slot milled into the rimless lenses. AIR Titanium glasses are made without the use of screws, rivets or soldering. Titanium wire in a thickness of 1.1mm and in three degrees of hardness is bent and twisted into temples, hinges, bridge and clips. An AIR Titanium frame weighs only 2.8grames. The flexibility of the titanium wire enables our Opticians to tailor temples and bridge to a perfect fit for each individual client. The strength and resilience of the titanium ensure that the glasses return to their original shape after being subjected to most types of pressure and tension. An Air titanium frame is well- suited for use with both single vision, and multifocal lenses, however powerful the lens may be. Nose pads and silicone temple ends are made of medical silicone, which gives the glasses a very firm hold. Both titanium and medical silicone are hypoallergenic materials. AIR Titanium eyeglasses are available in a wide range of models, which are either titanium grey or electrochemically coloured in a variety of silken luster hues. Our opticians craft the lenses with either matt or smoothly polished edges. He also has the option of milling a groove into the edge of the lenses itself and laying in one or more of the many groove colours available.
